Many of you know I've been working with a team of business professionals (and forward thinking bad asses) to revitalize a small town in the foothills of the Sierra. They've offered their time, services, and resources for free in an effort to inspire the community to do more for our town. It's pretty cool, if you ask me.
We've recently decided to start offering a series of monthly business classes to all small business owners and entrepreneurs so we can help people build sustainable business models for years to come.
This not only benefits the business owners by making more money and saving time, it helps the entire community when products and services are offered locally. More money stays in our local economy, businesses improve their products or services, and commercial property owners fill their empty buildings with long-term tenants. Not to mention the savings in gas and environment.
The first class will be held at Inner Path Yoga at the Rock Tree Center in downtown Auberry. We will teach business owners and future business owners about the importance of building a business around the 'Customer Experience' model and introduce them to 'Journey Mapping.'
We will also discuss the importance of having an online presence and how to target the perfect customer.
Auberry is a unique community in that we have a total population of ~ 2,300. Of course, all 2,300 are not of the same demographic and business owners are often limited by numbers. Fortunately, Revitalize Auberry is working hard to partner with other groups to bring more people to the area, for either recreation, or long term growth for the health and well-being of future generations for the foothills and Sierra Unified School District.
Please join us on Thursday, March 26th from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Inner Path Yoga for the first class in the series. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there! More dates to follow.
